 Hubbard Lodge Fahnestock State Park combines a walk along an old road through long-abandoned farms with gradual elevation change along East Mountain. Hike includes hilltop views, impressive stone walls, and a ridge of red cedars.

 Big Woods/Charcoal Burners is a hike through mature stands of mountain laurel with views of two ponds, open fields and beaver activity. The name Charcoal Burners Trail honors the Putnam County residents who produced charcoal for fuel.

 Bill Huestis (Kent) Join us for a hike through a scenic native forest off historic Farmer’s Mills Road, passing through boulder fields, thickets of mountain laurel, and wide swatches of ferns and lichen. Trails are rocky and rooted in many places, with some seasonal streams.

 Arden Point and Glenclyffe Loop.This hike rambles up over rocky outcroppings offering expansive views across the Hudson River to West Point and the surrounding highlands.Heading inland the trail travels Benedict Arnold’s escape route through tall stands of bamboo before crossing a stream.

 Garrison School Forest This hike includes the North and South Redoubt fortifications from the Revolutionary War. Hike will include a stream, woods and views of the Hudson River.

 Clearpool Model Forest Hiking Trail goes through the 1st model forest established east of the Hudson. It connects the blue, orange, yellow and green trails. It goes through land once owned by the Smalley family.
