Habitat Landscaping: Landscape design choices that support biodiversity

  • Thursday, January 21, 2021, 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Friday, January 22, 2021, 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM

A 2-part webinar for all. LA CEUs offered

Landscape design that includes native plants is not only beautiful and functional, but provides habitat for birds and pollinators. Unfortunately many of our go-to landscape plants are non-native, and have become invasive, reducing local biodiversity. Research shows managed landscapes that include native species support a higher abundance and diversity of pollinators and birds.

In this 2 part workshop we will explore design choices that include native plant species, understand the impact that invasive plants play on biodiversity and habitat fragmentation, and better understand how soil conditions impact plant success.
