First Planting Dates

In Putnam County, the last average frost date is May 15th, and the first average fall frost is October 15th. The chart below shows dates various popular garden vegetables can be planted as seeds, sets or transplants. Many can also be reseeded later: read and follow seed packet instructions or plant labels.
