About the Program

This 4-H Babysitting Program is designed to help youth ages 11 & up, discover what it takes to be a responsible, caring, trustworthy, competent, capable and safe babysitter. This curriculum was developed in support of Army Child & Youth Services and National 4-H outreach efforts and each lesson follows the 4-H Experiential Learning Model.  We are also working with the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services in providing First Aid and CPR Certification.

By taking this course, youth will:

  • Develop the skills needed to be a caring, trustworthy, responsible, and competent babysitter.
  • Learn how to care for children, solve problems and keep children safe and happy
