Youth Participants will learn how to safely use a variety of hand-held tools & as well as how to identify different types of woods.
Participants will also learn how to measure and cut angles, the importance of proper sanding and finishing applications. Each participant will make & take home a variety of woodworking projects.
This program will follow National 4-H Cooperative Curriculum and all NYS 4-H Woodworking Safety Guidelines.

Youth ages 8-18. For youth safety, a parent/guardian must be present, especially for youth 13 and under.
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County will continue to follow State & Local Health Department Guidance. As of September 2021, masks are required for all indoor programs and social distancing is encouraged. We kindly request that your child stay home if they or someone in your household is not feeling well or has been exposed to COVID.
Space is limited to 12 participants. First paid/first serve. (non-residents may be considered if the program does not fill up).
Your pre-registration is not complete until payment and required 4-H membership/enrollment forms have been received. Full payment must be received within 5 business days or our child's registration will be canceled.
$70 pp includes supplies (current 4-H members will receive a 20% discount)
