About the Program

This 4-H Babysitting Program is designed to help youth ages 11 & up, discover what it takes to be a responsible, caring, trustworthy, competent, capable and safe babysitter. This curriculum was developed in support of Army Child & Youth Services and National 4-H outreach efforts and each lesson follows the 4-H Experiential Learning Model.  

By taking this course, youth will:

  • Develop the skills needed to be a caring, trustworthy, responsible, and competent babysitter.
  • Learn how to care for children, solve problems and keep children safe and happy
  • Learn how to talk with parents and adults
  • Learn how to make responsible decisions and how to handle emergencies.

** This is not a CPR Certified Course.  


Monday, August 2, Tuesday, August 3 & Wednesday August 4 via Zoom from 6:30 to 8:30 PM

Thursday, August 5, In Person, 6:00 to 9:00 PM


This program will be held in a hybrid format with the first 3 sessions on Zoom and the last session in- person in Brewster, NY


Youth ages 9 & up, limited to 10 youth
