4-H Dog Care & Obedience

This is an in-person event that will take place at an outdoor area in Kent, NY. Registration is required and will be limited to the first 12 youth between the ages of 9-18. Social distancing and masks are required. 

Class will include:

  • successful dog ownership skills
  • basic dog care & handling
  • guidance on competition & other sporting fields
  • an opportunity to have your dog evaluated for the K9 Good Citizen Program (4-H approved breeds only)
  •  Dog ownership is not required

Wednesday Evenings (6 Weeks); 6:45-8:00pm

Registration fee: $80 non 4-H members; $45 for 4-H members. (non-refundable) Includes 4-H Enrollment & Materials. 

Please Note: Certain Dog Breeds may be prohibited from taking part in 4-H Programs. Dog ownership is not required to participate in this program.   

This program may not be suitable for youth with respiratory issues and/or animal related allergies, etc.
