New York State's annual Invasive Species Awareness Week (ISAW) will take place June 6-12. Invasive species are plants, animals, insects, and diseases that are not native to an area and cause harm to the environment, the economy, or human health. ISAW is an educational campaign that provides opportunities for New Yorkers to learn about invasive species and how they can prevent and manage their spread. This year look for social media challenges, screenings and more. To view events happening across the state, visit theĀ NYISAW event calendar
